Making His Appearing Manifest

To Make Manifest

(Ephesians 2:19)

"I have manifested Your Name to those whom You gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to Me, and they have kept Your Word. Now they know that everything that You have given Me is from You. For I have given them the words that You gave Me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from You; and they have believed that You sent me." John 17:3-8

"Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, 'Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?' Yeshua answered him. "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But sthe Breath of Life, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:21-26

Afrer the article, Light (click on highlighted words to view content), Teresa wrote, "I disagree with the premise that the presence of light causes darkness to simply - not exist. There is absolutely no way that the Light resident in one person's body can cause the darkness in another person's body to "not exist" since darkness too is a choice! I can be Light to everybody in this world, but it is *only* *if* they choose that Light that they too will have Light. Now if the Light in me is bright enough (pure enough), it may cause a person or persons to "flee" , or "dissipate" in its definition of 'to break up and drive off', if they choose or have chosen darkness, but not to 'not exist'. Or if the Light in me is *pure*, then the term dissipate (or flee) hardly fits; and the proper term is consumed. That person would be consumed, in otherwords, literally burned up. However, the Light in me is little and weak, and I long to be pure. But my Father, and my Lord, that’s a different matter. The Light in them is *pure*."

You are correct, Teresa. According to Yeshua's words of John 3:19-21, it is an individual's choice to bring his deeds into the Light for reproof - or not. Most of us, however, have underestimated the power Light can have in both within our individual lives and the influential power it has on those observing our lives. If we believe scripture was given to inform us of Truth, then are we going to believe the words of John 1:3-5 which says, "In YHVH was Life, and the Life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it"? Yeshua exampled over and over through deliverance and healing how Light caused darkness to not exist anymore in the particular time and space He visited upon those who chose to embrace it. It was that same Light of Life that He bequeathed to those who would embrace His example in their own lives. The English word "praise" used in 2Samuel 22:4 is translated from the Hebrew word halal which means "to shine, to flash forth light". When we embrace YHVH's Words by surrendering ourselves to those Words with a willing heart, holding nothing back, we "flash forth" the fire of those Words. Scripture also tells us that YHVH is LIGHT - not His Son. John 1:4 above tells us the Life found in the Nature of Spirit is the Light of men. In John 17:6 Yeshua says He "manifested" the Life found in YHVH's Name for us to see while in the flesh. Manifest comes from the Greek word phaneroo which means to make actual and visible - to realize. To manifest something means to bring it into reality - to embody it. When Yeshua said He manifested the Name of the Father, He meant He embodied it, He became the Name. How was He able to do that? By keeping the instructional Words of His Father which contain the Nature of Spirit - all of those Words (Exodus 20:1-17, John 14:31, John 15:10). When we embrace the Life found in YHVH's Name, just as Yeshua did, we exhibit YHVH's Nature - we manifest Light. But, we can not give what we do not live. So, before our Light can be of any influence upon the lives of others, we must first cultivate that brilliance within us. But, as with Yeshua who only manifested the Light to those given to Him by YHVH; however brilliant our Light becomes, it is not to be manifested to the world - just to those within our immediate sphere where we have the capacity to have an effect on the character, development or behavior of someone.

It is true that darkness is a choice. Whether a person chooses to remain in Light after having initially experienced it is left up to them. Choosing to remain in darkness, however, is the Judgment that comes upon those who do so - which is why we find Yeshua manifesting the Life only to those passionately seeking Truth. How can we effect the character or behavior of someone else? Through the purity of the Life, the Light within us. Yeshua said in John 15:3 that we are already made clean by the Word He spoke. The Greek word translated as the English "clean" in this verse is katharos and means purified by fire, free from every admixture of what is false. This is the same word translated as the English "pure" in Matthew 5:8. To be clean is to be pure. Yeshua said it is because of the words He spoke that, as we incorporate those words into our behavior, we become pure. This is what it means to be "washed by the Word". What words are those? Yeshua prefaced what He said in John 15:3 with what He said in John 14:23-24 that the word He spoke was not His - but the words of His Father, YaHoVeH. So it is that the Words of the Father, YHVH, are what purifies us. The "fiery law" of Deuteronomy 33:2 appeared as "tongues of fire" upon those faithful waiting on the Promise at the Hebrew feast of Yom Shavu'ot (day of Pentecost) - the same earthshaking day the Words of YHVH's Nature had first been given in fire to the family of Jacob (Israel) at Sinai on tablets of stone. These are the same words, now inscribed on the heart, that are given with such a firey intensity that, when kept, purifies the holder of those words. We become pure even as He is pure.

"...all things that are exposed to the light are made manifest by the light,
for whatever makes manifest is light. This is why it says, 'Get up, sleeper!
Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you!'." Ephesians 5:13

After the same article, from Canada, Carol asked: "We are interested in knowing your opinion- also when you wrote about how He sets the banquet table in the presence of our enemies- who is our enemy? It seemed you wrote this article just for me- I had a difficult week last week. Physically I am experiencing some issues and mentally struggling with the physical issues. I had to work continually at getting back to the position of gratefulness and repent for feeling sorry for myself - and find my way back to His rest. Do you ever struggle like this? We have settled on 'NO satan' but want to understand more about demonic spirits."

Saving Grace
Most of us who have come out from under Christianity's non-scriptural insistence of "instant salvation, deliverance and healing" theologies; it becomes difficult to distance ourselves from that indoctrination when we find ourselves in the midst of seemingly overwhelming circumstances. Christianity also wants us to believe there exists some satanic force to blame whatever disrupts our life of comfort on. But Matthew 14:25-31 records how Peter exercised his faith by leaping into the waves to join the Master walking on the sea - at Yeshua's behest. Yes, his faith waned a little later on when he looked down and realized where he was, but it should not be overlooked that he WAS walking on water. Before making a choice to manifest our faith, like Peter's example, we need to wait to hear what Spirit is saying - otherwise, we find ourselves in a place, like Adam and Eve, of determining for ourselves what is good. This is the Real Enemy. The enemy is anyone or any thing that attempts to exalt itself above the Words of YHVH. Demons do exist. We know this because scripture tells us that Yeshua dealt with them. They can inhabit people and they can influence thoughts - but there is no central figure orchestrating their movements. Becoming Light, however, causes demons of darkness to want to look for easier pickings (if you will). For example, having spent some hours within a darkened theater, you emerge into brilliant sunlight. What is the first thing you do? You squint because the light hurts your eyes. Think on this - they are called demons of darkness because they live in, they inhabit darkness. Whenever they are exposed to Light - it hurts them. Now, they may try to endure the pain of the Light for a bit if they perceive there to be an opening they might squeeze into to perform their mischief. But, ultimately, if they are not granted entry they retreat into a more favorable environment of darkness. Can the Light we manifest affect the darkness in others? It can, but remember, Yeshua did not manifest Light, the Life, to the world - just those seeking Truth whom the Father sent Him.

Faith is not straining to believe something into existence we desperately want to see happen. Faith is not giving lip-service to a dogma or tenant we feel will be useful to us. Faith is first hearing the Voice of the Father (John 12:50) then, subsequently, moving in the direction He illumines - regardless of what we see, what we hear, what we feel or what we think. Faith is exhibiting confidence, by our actions, that YHVH will do everything we have heard Him say He will do (Hebrews 11:1). The English word translated believe is found in Genesis 15:6 in the Hebrew to be 'aman and means "to stand firm in, to be found reliable in, to be faithful in doing". As the father of our faith, Abraham exhibited his belief in what the Father was saying to him by causing his actions to adhere to the words YHVH had spoken the very day he heard them (Genesis 17:23). Romans 4:12 says Abraham is the father of all who "walk in the steps of that faith" he exhibited in haEl haNaAman (Hebrew for 'the Faithful One'). To "believe in God", therefore, should more accurately be translated as being "faithful" to execute the words of the Father in whatever situation we find ourselves in. This requires an alignment of our life to the Words of YHVH found in Exodus 20:1-17. It is in the dual action of sealing our confession before men with our lips and then a follow-through of the evidentiary embrace of the Life of Yeshua He exampled before us in scripture. To those who exhibit this belief, to them are given the power to BECOME the sons of YHVH (John 1:12-13) - which is what all of creation is waiting for (Romans 8:19). However, as stated earlier, this is not an instant occurance but a lifetime pursuit. Just as James 1:12 encourages us to endure to the end - it is by patiently waiting upon YHVH that we shall receive the crown of Life.

"No longer do I call you bondservants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you."
John 15:15

I am a member on FB groups and admonish people to quit following the traditions of men and their false doctrines, to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. I help my neighbors in my development when I see they need it but other than that I be a home body having neither a car, cell phone or even a landline phone. I feel like I be needing to do more and I know we do not go by feeling. He says we are to produce fruit, to do good works and we are to walk in them."

One day some years ago, a person with whom I knew from a distance appeared on my doorstep asking if I would like to have a coffee with him. He then began to drop by a couple of times a week - just to have coffee and, while we had pleasant conversations, it was more of a time spent in becoming more acquainted with one another. After a few coffees, however, we found a common interest in Spirit and our conversation began to gain depth. One day, he showed up with a friend and our conversation grew. We graduated from coffee a couple of times a week to having breakfast on a somewhat regular basis - and our fraternity began to grow as some others were invited to joined in. One day I realized that I had some friends who listened to what I was saying. We didn't always agree with one another - but we listened to each other. That experience taught me that, in order to make a friend, we first have to be a friend - as Yeshua is to us (1John 4:19).

2Peter 1:3-8 begins in verse 3 by giving us the essential elements that undergird having a successful relationship. Verse 5 continues with a blueprint for how to act when we discover a shared faith in the Messiah in another and encourages us to be diligent in making every effort to supplement or undergird that faith with virtue, a shared excellence of spirit toward one another. Then we can begin to add some knowledge into the mix - but always with self-control to maintain the excellence of spirit we have embarked on together. To that self-control we are to add steadfastness or patience toward one another - being determined to allow the Father to teach us through the other. To that steadfastness we add godliness - showing the same reverence and respect to one another that we show towards YHVH. Here is the clincher: out of this mix we are only now able to develop brotherly affection - we begin to LIKE one another! And, out of this brotherly affection, we develop a love for one another. Much too often, however, what happens in a relationship is that we get so excited from finding someone else with a similar interest in faith that we try to jump from there to the "love" part - eliminating the other steps in between that ensure a stable relationshiop. What we are left with is a foundation with nothing else to support the roof and we walk away wondering why that relationship didn't work. If we are seriously seeking to be a partaker of the divine nature, we will be more than careful to apply these relationship building blocks in the right order when we reach out to another the Father has brought into our sphere of influence. This is what is known as the Work of the Ministry.
